Michael Branch

Insitec Group Managing Director

An enterprise and solutions architect with over 30 years’ experience in the technology industry, Michael is a leader with a people-first approach. He has been with Insitec as a director and senior executive since its inception in 2001, steering the company through periods of major change and growth. Michael has led Insitec for most of its history and has carriage of the overall growth and corporate strategy within the company and has overseen the rapid growth of Insitec from 25 staff to nearly 200 in less than four years. He has led many of Insitec’s most complex projects and is a trusted advisor to clients, providing them with extensive knowledge and guidance on their ICT strategy development and implementation. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and has served on many boards providing his leadership and technology skills to these endeavours.

Andy McNeill

Insitec Chairman / Chief Operating Officer

One of Australia’s leading security architects, Andy has a 20-year background in ICT system design and systems administration, cybersecurity, and resilience. He leads Insitec’s systems integration services team and has extensive experience in deploying and supporting complex IT environments. He is expert in reviewing cyber security issues in the context of business risk and has led solution and security design for numerous high-level projects at the Department of Defence, Australian Signals Directorate, the Department of Industry and for key commercial partners.  In his governance roles at Insitec, Andy has been a company director since 2011, and is currently in his second term as chairman of the Insitec Board of Directors. During his tenure as chairman, the company has seen unprecedented growth and stability.

Adam Wilson 

Insitec MIS Chairman / Chief Technologist

Adam is an accomplished ICT professional and innovative information systems leader. He became leader of MIS in 2020 after working as a technology architect and at senior executive level with Insitec since 2014. Adam has over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure, virtualisation, design, projects, Defence intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, and technical architecture. With demonstrated strengths in quickly understanding and handling complex technical issues, he is able to provide the invaluable link between ICT requirements, decision making and business strategy. Adam is a former ICT and communication specialist in the Royal Australian Navy and remains an Officer of Cadets, with Australian Navy Cadets as well as mentoring veterans who are transiting from Defence.

Hayden Aislabie

Insitec ICT Operations Manager

As leader of Insitec ICT, Hayden manages all aspects of operational service delivery, liaising with sales, to meet client requirements. A highly skilled engineer with qualifications in Networking, he has in-depth knowledge of networking technologies and virtualisation and has held various senior roles with Insitec including Lead Engineer and Infrastructure Solutions Manager. Hayden has designed and implemented highly available, mission critical systems and led engineering teams working on major Defence projects.  He joined the Insitec team in 2012.

James Tewes

Insitec MIS Operations Manager

James is a highly qualified ITC specialist with a career background in the Australian Defence Force where he managed information technology and led technical teams delivering remote, rugged and mission essential needs. He is a subject matter expert on planning, designing, building, and operating complex IT systems both at the edge and from the cloud. While in the Australian Army, James spent one year seconded to the United Nations as a military observer and plans officer. He has undertaken duties for the ADF in humanitarian and disaster relief, notably as a lead information technology advisor supporting Operation Bushfires Assist in Victoria.  James has a Masters in Cyber Security Operations and a Masters in Engineering Science.

Michael Mooney 

Chief Financial Officer

Michael has been a senior executive for more than 20 years, leading financial management and operational decision making in a range of organisations across private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. He joined Insitec in 2020 and has overseen the development of financial governance frameworks for growth initiatives including acquisitions and integrations. While at Deloitte Australia as Director, he provided advice on financial transformation and business innovation to various Federal Government agencies including Defence. Michael has many years’ experience in program delivery and proven results in working with key stakeholders to resolve operational issues, strengthen organisational infrastructure and capability, and deliver sustainable growth. Michael has a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and is a member of CPA Australia

Lloyd Bennett

General Manager National Sales

Years of senior line management and consulting experience have shaped Lloyd’s sales management approach to one of working with clients to help solve their challenges and getting the best out of the people and technologies involved. To Lloyd, sales is the art and science of connecting people with challenges to people who can work through the core problems, inevitable complications and on to effective solutions.  Most importantly, representing an Australian company providing sovereign capability is Lloyd’s motivation for selling because that ensures skills, intellectual property and key decision-making capacity remains in country.  Lloyd has held diverse roles including CFO, CIO, Sales Operations Director and Director Strategy APAC. Lloyd has formal qualifications including an MBA (Macquarie) and Metallurgy (Wollongong).

Emily Duke 

General Manager Corporate Services

Emily has managed and had oversight of all corporate services for Insitec during a significant growth period over the past five years. She is an experienced senior manager with a people-first approach to human resources, finance, communications, sales, legal and facilities management. With skills gained in leadership and organisational development, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement, her role as a key member of the executive team continues to grow and evolve. Before joining Insitec, Emily worked in corporate roles in business consulting, finance and the Australian Department of Defence.

Peter Taylor 

Continuous Improvement Manager

As an experienced senior manager in ICT operations and project management, Peter supports Insitec operational strategy and performance. He is continually reviewing service delivery processes and systems developed in accordance with Australian Standards. Peter is highly skilled in large and complex program management, and before joining Insitec was a senior project manager at the Australian Tax Office. At the ATO he managed a large team of federal government IT professionals across Australia in areas of quality assurance, system testing, performance testing and tuning.  Peter has qualifications in Information Processing, Project Management and Leadership.
